Goals in tree care (EN)
58m
Do we want to cut off everything "imperfect" on old trees or can we also tolerate
damage and defects?
What is the goal in tree care?
The new European Tree Pruning Standard - tree care between species and
nature conservation, convenience and conscious action.
A food for thought about the subjective perception of beauty and attractiveness,
the dignity of aging, in which scars, fractures and cavities on the one hand
excite us and yet contradict the trend towards a heavily cleaned, homogenous,
almost antiseptic tree population.
What is the ideal of a tree?
What damage can, will or do we have to tolerate?
Symmetrical, flawless and beautiful?
A long overdue discussion.
